Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions is seeking an experienced Principal Hardware Engineer to lead the design and development of 3U and 6U VPX SBC, FPGA, switch, and I/O cards with advanced form-factor systems. You will guide interdisciplinary teams across mechanical, software, and hardware domains to deliver high-reliability solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• 15+ years in DoD embedded systems and hardware design (SBC, FPGA, switch, I/O cards up to 100 GHz); 20+ years preferred.
• Extensive experience in high-density, mixed-signal, high-speed digital design in high-reliability environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of 3U and 6U VPX SBC, FPGA, switch, and I/O cards up to 400 GHz.
• Lead the design of custom form-factor systems including power supplies and thermal management (LFT).
• Provide technical leadership, establish standards, and drive time-to-market improvements.
