Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Principal Hardware Engineer for remote work in the US. You will lead the design of 3U/6U VPX SBC, FPGA, switch, and I/O cards, targeting high data rates and rigorous reliability in defense programs.

The role requires 15+ years in DoD embedded hardware, HDI PCB design, and strong leadership. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, drive testing, and deliver robust hardware solutions with documented processes and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of DoD embedded systems and hardware design experience.
• Expertise in high-density interconnect PCB design and HDI techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of 3U/6U VPX SBC, FPGA, switch, and I/O cards up to 100 GHz.
• Develop and validate complex hardware for DoD embedded systems.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor teams, and ensure on-time delivery.
