Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer for remote work in the United States. You will design and develop 3U and 6U VPX SBC, FPGA, switch, and I/O cards, integrating software, firmware, and hardware so systems meet demanding defense requirements.

The role requires DoD embedded systems experience, high-density interconnect PCB expertise, and the ability to guide junior engineers through design, verification, and production phases.

Qualifications

• Must have DoD embedded systems experience and hardware design expertise.
• Experience with SBC, FPGA, switch and I/O card development.
• Experience with high-density interconnect (HDI) PCB designs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop 3U and 6U VPX SBC, FPGA, switch, and I/O cards for high-speed data processing.
• Develop custom form-factor systems with SBC, FPGA, switch, and I/O cards, power, and thermal management.
• Support hardware verification, qualification, and production with test plans and issue resolution.
• Translate system requirements into practical hardware designs and improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
