Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Principal Hardware Engineer for on-site work in Ashburn, VA. The role entails leading the design of 3U/6U VPX SBCs, FPGA, switch, and I/O cards, with emphasis on high-frequency data paths and robust hardware security elements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide tests, and drive designs from concept through production, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• Extensive DoD embedded hardware experience with SBC/FPGA/I-O cards.
• Strong leadership, schedule-driven execution, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of 3U/6U VPX SBCs, FPGA, switch, and I/O cards up to 100 GHz.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, test, and operations teams to meet demanding customer requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, establish standards, and improve product performance and reliability.
