Western Alliance Bancorporation seeks a Vice President, Commercial Banker – ABL/Tech to lead new business development in venture-backed technology sectors. You will negotiate, underwrite, and close complex loans while expanding deposit relationships and cross-selling treasury services.

The role requires 7+ years in banking, advanced knowledge of lending, compliance, and relationship management, with up to 50% travel and a strong client-facing focus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Advanced knowledge in all facets of relationship management.
• Advanced organizational and time management skills.
• Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
• May require up to 50% travel.
• Requires interest in working with venture-backed technology companies.

Responsibilities

• Identify target market for new business and develop a book of new business.
• Negotiate, underwrite, and coordinate closing of major and complex loans.
• Develop and maintain customer database and report results to superiors.
• Call and visit target customers to promote bank products and services.
• Collaborate with treasury partner to ensure seamless client experiences.
