Job summary

Zurich E&S is seeking a VP, Senior Underwriting Manager for the E&S Property team in Atlanta. Hybrid work option available.

You will lead and coach a regional Property underwriting group, drive performance, manage broker relationships, and maintain a small production portfolio to stay attuned to market changes. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years in underwriting or related areas, plus 2+ years of people management; CPCU is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of underwriting, market-facing, broker, carrier, or risk management experience in Commercial Insurance
• Bachelor’s Degree with 20+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support in Commercial Insurance (and true leadership)
• Experience in E&S Property
• 2+ years of people management experience

Responsibilities

• Travel as necessary to support the team and broker relationships (25%)
• Develop, coach, and manage a regional Property underwriting staff
• Manage regional performance including new business production and policy retention
• Maintain strong wholesale broker relationships and broker referrals, while handling a small production portfolio
