Zurich E&S is seeking a VP, Senior Underwriting Manager for the E&S Property team in Atlanta. The role leads a regional underwriting group, driving performance, developing talent, and maintaining broker relationships to execute strategy and portfolio management.

The position requires strong technical underwriting acumen in E&S Property, plus experience in talent development and complex process oversight. Hybrid work arrangement with travel to support the team and brokers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in Underwriting, Market Facing, Broker, Carrier, or Risk Management within Commercial Insurance
• Or Bachelor’s Degree with 20+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support in Commercial Insurance
• Experience in E&S Property
• 2+ years of people management experience

Responsibilities

• Develop, coach, and manage a high-performing regional Property underwriting team
• Manage regional performance including new business production, policy count retention, rate/tiering execution, and portfolio actions
• Manage regional wholesale broker relationships and underwriter referrals
• Maintain a small production portfolio to stay attuned with regional market changes and desk-level challenges
• Travel as necessary to support the team and broker relationships (approx. 25%)
