Job summary

Zurich E&S in Atlanta seeks a VP, Senior Underwriting Manager for the Property team. You will lead and coach a regional underwriting group, drive performance, and manage broker relationships across the region.

The role requires strong technical underwriting acumen in E&S Property, and prior leadership in talent development. Hybrid work is offered with travel up to 25% to support brokers and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in underwriting or risk management in commercial insurance.
• Or Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years in claims or underwriting support.
• Experience in E&S Property and 2+ years of people management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coach, and manage a high-performing regional Property underwriting team.
• Drive regional performance including new business, policy counts, and portfolio actions.
• Manage wholesale broker relationships and underwriter referrals.
• Maintain a small production portfolio to stay attuned to regional market dynamics.
• Travel up to 25% to support teams and broker relationships; foster a strong team culture.
