Job summary

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a VP, Senior Underwriting Manager for its E&S Property team. The role leads a regional underwriting staff, coaches talent, and drives production, retention, and portfolio actions while nurturing wholesale broker relationships.

Hybrid work is offered with travel about 25% to support brokers and team. The candidate will oversee underwriting talent, manage complex processes, and ensure profitable portfolio management in the E&S Property

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of experience in the Underwriting, Market Facing, Broker, Carrier, or Risk Management area within the Commercial Insurance industry
2+ years of people management experience
Experience in E&S Property underwriting

Responsibilities

Develop, coach, and manage a high-performing regional team of Property underwriting staff
Drive regional performance including new business production, policy count retention, rate/tiering execution, and portfolio management actions
Manage regional wholesale broker relationships; managing underwriter referrals
Maintain a small production portfolio to stay attuned with regional market changes and desk-level challenges
Travel as necessary to support the needs of the team and broker relationships (approx. 25%)
