Job summary

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is seeking a VP, Senior Underwriting Manager for the E&S Property team in Atlanta. You will lead and coach a regional underwriting group, drive performance metrics, and manage broker relationships while staying attuned to market changes.

The role requires extensive underwriting acumen, strong leadership, and travel to broker partners. Hybrid work arrangement with a focus on team development and portfolio profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in the Underwriting, Market Facing, Broker, Carrier, or Risk Management area within the Commercial Insurance industry OR Bachelor's Degree with 20+ years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support area within the Commercial Insurance industry
• Experience in E&S Property
• 2+ years of people management experience

Responsibilities

• Develop, coach, and manage a high-performing regional Property underwriting team.
• Manage regional performance: new business production, policy count retention, rate/tiering execution, and portfolio actions relative to plan.
• Manage regional wholesale broker relationships and underwriter referrals.
• Travel as necessary to support the team and broker relationships (approximately 25%).
• Oversee and develop underwriting talent and manage complex processes.
