Job summary

Zurich E&S seeks a VP, Senior Underwriting Manager to lead a high-performing regional Property underwriting team. You will develop, coach, and manage performance, drive new business production, retention, rate/tiering, and portfolio actions aligned with plan while maintaining broker relationships and referrals.

Travel ~25% and hybrid work in Atlanta. In this role you’ll oversee talent development, manage complex underwriting processes, and deliver profitable portfolio outcomes in the E&S

Qualifications

• 10+ years in underwriting, market-facing, broker, carrier, or risk management.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Experience in E&S Property.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a regional Property underwriting team to meet or exceed performance targets.
• Drive new business production, policy count retention, rate/tiering, and portfolio actions.
• Manage regional wholesale broker relationships and underwriter referrals.
• Maintain a small production portfolio to stay attuned with regional market changes and desk-level challenges.
• Travel as necessary to support the team and broker relationships (~25%).
