Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a VP, Senior Underwriting Manager for the E&S Property team in Atlanta. You will lead a regional underwriting staff, coach talent, and drive portfolio management with broker engagement.

The role supports a hybrid work model and requires travel to broker and market regions. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of underwriting or risk management experience, strong leadership, and expertise in E&S Property, with CPCU preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in underwriting, market facing, broker, carrier, or risk management within commercial insurance OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with 20+ years in claims or underwriting support within commercial insurance

Responsibilities

• Develop, coach, and manage a high‑performing regional Property underwriting team.
• Manage regional performance including new business, policy count retention, rate/tiering, and portfolio actions.
• Oversee wholesale broker relationships, underwriter referrals, and production portfolio in line with regional market.
• Travel as necessary (approx. 25%) to support team needs and broker relations.
• Foster a diversified, inclusive team culture with strong technical underwriting acumen.
