Job summary

Athene, a leader in retirement solutions, seeks a senior sales leader to own the annual territory sales targets across defined contribution offerings in the United States, including Vitera and Apollo channels. You will build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeepers and execute a disciplined territory plan to drive adoption.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales, with a track record.
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper teams.
• Strong command of advisor‑led and recordkeeper channels, including home office relationships.
• Knowledge of ERISA fundamentals and defined contribution market.
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 or Series 7 required.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual territory sales targets across the defined contribution offering.
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams, converting national partnerships into local adoption.
• Develop and execute a territory plan with priority advisors, a consistent activity cadence, pipeline milestones, and measurable sales outcomes.
• Lead advisor education, field events, and finalist presentations; bring in product specialists for depth while retaining ownership of the relationship.
• Partner with Apollo's Global Wealth field counterparts to align coverage and win together.
• Coordinate with recordkeeper partners on joint meetings, campaigns, and opportunities.
• Use CRM data, market intelligence, and AI tools to refine targeting and maintain pipeline discipline.
