Job summary

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers flexible pay-later options. The VP, People Business Partners & Employee Relations leads the global PBP and ER functions, partnering with the CPO and XLT to shape talent and organizational strategy.

You will build high-performing teams, design scalable people processes, manage sensitive ER matters, and work across the leadership team to align resources with Affirm’s top priorities in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive People leadership experience
• Significant experience leading a global PBP organization
• Experience leading Employee Relations and investigations in partnership with Legal
• Demonstrated experience partnering with C-suite executives
• Deep expertise in organizational consulting and workforce planning
• Strong business acumen and learning agility
• Sharp talent judgment for executive decisions
• Ability to anticipate organizational risks and opportunities
• Outstanding executive presence and integrity in sensitive decisions

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and operating model for global PBP and ER functions
• Build high-performing PBP and ER teams with coaching and external hiring
• Serve as strategic advisor to XLT on enterprise-wide leadership decisions
• Develop understanding of affirm's business to anticipate workforce implications
• Partner on workforce strategy including talent deployment and technology adoption
• Help leaders design organizations with clear accountability and speed
• Raise leadership quality through talent planning and executive assessment
• Guide leaders through major organizational change
• Set strategy and model for Employee Relations globally
• Provide oversight on complex ER matters with executive-level involvement
• Use ER data to identify risks and translate into proactive actions
• Partner with Legal on employment practices and risk management
