Job summary

Affirm is seeking a VP, People Business Partners & Employee Relations to lead Affirm's global PBP and ER functions and partner with the CPO and XLT to shape the people agenda. In this remote-first, US-based role, you will design strategy, build high-performing teams, and drive enterprise-wide talent decisions to enable sustainable growth and organizational health across the globe.

Applicants should bring 15+ years of global people leadership and a proven ability to influence at the executive

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive People leadership experience in global technology organizations at scale.
• Global PBP leadership experience is required.
• Experience leading Employee Relations including investigations with Legal partnership.
• Experience partnering directly with C-suite executives with independent judgment.
• Deep expertise in organizational consulting, executive coaching, and strategic workforce planning.
• Strong business acumen and learning agility for complex businesses.
• Sharp talent judgment for executive decisions.
• Ability to anticipate organizational and workforce risks and opportunities early.
• Executive presence and emotional intelligence for difficult conversations.
• Sound judgment balancing business needs with legal and reputational risk.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and operating model for global PBP and ER functions.
• Build high-performing PBP and ER teams through talent decisions and coaching.
• Serve as strategic advisor to XLT on enterprise-wide leadership decisions.
• Understand affirm's business to anticipate organizational implications.
• Partner with XLT on workforce strategy and deployment of talent.
• Design organizations with clear accountability and speed.
• Improve leadership decisions through talent planning and executive assessment.
• Guide leaders through organizational change and ensure execution discipline.
• Set ER strategy and ensure fair, scalable practices.
• Oversee complex ER matters including investigations at executive level.
• Translate ER data trends into proactive actions for health and performance.
• Collaborate with Legal on employment practices and risk management.
