Job summary

Axos Bank is seeking a senior strategist to lead performance initiatives within the Strategy & Analytics function. You will partner with business heads, shape operating cadences, and drive cross‑functional alignment on key metrics that matter for consumer banking growth.

You will translate complex data into executive narratives, own the reporting rhythm, and ensure timely decision-making with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree a plus.
• 7+ years in business management, strategy, or business operations in financial services or high-growth consumer business.
• Experience running operating rhythms with rigor: business reviews, forums, initiative tracking, executive reporting.
• Strategic thinker fluent in data; build narratives and drive decisions, not just report numbers.
• Exceptional communicator turning complex metrics into executive-ready stories.
• Strong business acumen linking performance to strategic priorities across lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to business heads — optimizing performance, surfacing risks, and driving key initiatives across the consumer organization.
• Own the operating cadence — business reviews, cross-functional forums, and executive reporting rhythms.
• Drive alignment across product, marketing, lending, deposits, risk, and operations around shared performance metrics.
• Engage partners to track initiative progress and hold the organization accountable to performance commitments.
• Serve as an early warning system — monitoring trends, surfacing material drivers, and escalating risks to consumer bank leadership.
• Translate performance data into clear executive narratives that drive decisions, not just reporting.
• Facilitate senior and executive-level reviews that are insight-led, action-oriented, and decision-ready.
• Serve as thought partner to the Head of Strategy as business management evolves with Axos’s growth.
