Job summary

Bain & Company, Inc. is seeking a senior leader to own the firm’s enterprise data architecture, data platforms, and the data model strategy.

You will guide architecture direction for internal engineering teams and external partners, collaborate with governance and security teams, and help shape the firm’s broader data and AI strategy. You will lead a team of senior architects, set multi-year roadmaps, and partner with business leaders across regions to ensure scalable, governed, and secure data

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in enterprise data architecture and engineering across multiple domains.
• Proven track record delivering multi-year roadmaps for scalable data platforms.
• Deep experience in data modeling and standards for complex domains.
• Experience guiding architecture or data modeling orgs and developing leaders.
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Set and lead the multi-year enterprise data architecture strategy and roadmap.
• Own target-state data architecture, standards, and technology direction.
• Make major architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and risk.
• Provide senior technical leadership to internal teams and partners.
• Collaborate with governance, security, privacy, and legal to embed controls.
• Drive adoption of standards across regions and functions.
• Identify high-value AI opportunities and integrate agentic use cases.
• Mentor leaders, build succession, and shape the data strategy.
