Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking an accomplished Architect of Data Architecture to join the Enterprise Technology team in shaping enterprise data strategy and architecture. You will lead data platform design across cloud environments, guide governance, and drive AI-enabled transformation for major client engagements.

You will partner with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and senior leaders to align technology with business goals, delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions while mentoring teams

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture and technology leadership, including large-scale transformation programs.
• Deep enterprise data architecture expertise across multiple industries.
• Demonstrated track record shaping enterprise data strategies, target architectures, roadmaps, and operating models.
• End-to-end lifecycle experience leading large, multi-year data transformation programs.
• Deep understanding of how data enables AI, including data engineering, feature engineering, model data pipelines, and MLOps enablement.
• Hands-on architecture and delivery experience with modern data stacks and cloud data services (Snowflake, Fabric, AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata, data quality, Master Data Management, data integration, security, privacy.
• Strong client leadership and business development experience, including pre-sales and account expansion.

Responsibilities

• Lead definition of enterprise data architecture strategies, target states, and roadmaps aligned with client priorities.
• Architect scalable, resilient, and secure data platforms across cloud, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Define operating models for a modern Data Office with governance and delivery capabilities.
• Develop as-is and to-be architectures, reference models, and migration roadmaps for complex transformations.
• Define enterprise integration and data-sharing standards across APIs, streams, data pipelines, and microservices.
• Shape data foundations for analytics and AI, including data pipelines and MLOps enablement.
• Assess, select, and integrate data platforms and vendor services (Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Translate complex business requirements into architecture decisions and executable plans.
• Advise senior leaders on cyber security strategy, architecture decisions, and technology trade-offs.
