Job summary

Bain & Company, Inc. in San Francisco seeks a Vice President, Enterprise Data Architecture to lead the firm’s data architecture vision, strategy, and governance.

You will set target-state architecture, roadmaps, and collaborate with governance, security, privacy, and legal teams to ensure scalable, governed data foundations. You will head the Data Modeling Center of Excellence, guide senior leaders, and partner with AI initiatives, external partners, and business units.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise data architecture and engineering leadership across large-scale environments.
• Proven ability to define multi-year roadmaps and scalable, secure data platforms using cloud tech.
• Deep experience in data modeling and governance across structured/unstructured data.
• Experience directing architecture organizations and developing senior technical talent.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive standard adoption at scale.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and multi-year roadmap for the firm’s enterprise data architecture and platforms.
• Own target-state data architecture, standards, and technology direction ensuring scalable, governed data foundations.
• Lead senior technical leaders and guide internal teams and delivery partners on architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with governance, security, privacy, legal, and tech leaders to embed data quality and governance.
• Drive alignment across functions and regions to reduce fragmentation and enable AI-ready data foundations.
• Lead partnerships with data platform vendors and benchmark against external practices.
