Wpromote seeks a Vice President of Engineering to lead the engineering organization for Polaris, our client CRM and marketing intelligence platform. You will drive strategy, architecture, delivery, and security while scaling teams and adopting AI across development.

Qualifikationen

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years leading managers/organizations.
• Record of building healthy teams and delivering complex products in collaboration with Product, UX, Data Science, Security, and business stakeholders.
• Deep architectural judgment across modern SaaS apps, APIs, cloud infra, data platforms, distributed systems, CI/CD, observability, and security.
• Direct experience with cloud budgets, vendor relationships, and cost/contract decisions.
• Clear written and verbal communication for executive and non-technical leaders.
• Bias toward durable systems, ownership, and delegation.
• Ability to lead through managers and senior engineers and handle critical incidents.

• Lead, coach, and hold engineering managers and ICs across the stack.
• Build leaders to reduce single points of failure and enable scalable growth.
• Set high standards for judgment, ownership, collaboration, and customer impact.
• Own capacity planning, staffing allocations, and engineering budget.
• Shape the Polaris roadmap with product and stakeholders; manage dependencies and tradeoffs.
• Translate market needs into a coherent technology strategy for Polaris IQ and related data products.
• Maintain an actionable architecture roadmap prioritizing growth and cost efficiency.
• Define and manage an engineering scorecard tracking delivery speed and quality.
• Develop and execute the AI strategy, evaluating agents and runtimes for value and security.
• Oversee end-to-end architecture across Python/Django, React, PostgreSQL, and data pipelines.
• Ensure data pipelines deliver accurate, timely, observable data across channels.
• Manage SLAs, incident response, capacity planning, and risk reduction.
