Job summary

Clever Real Estate is seeking a VP of Engineering in the United States to lead the engineering organization and define the technical foundation for rapid growth. You will drive architecture, mentor leaders, and raise the talent bar while staying close enough to code to guide critical implementations.

AI is core to our approach; you will push frontier models to enhance software development, modernize systems, and expand AI leverage across Clever.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering leadership experience across multiple teams.
• Strong depth in architecture, implementation, debugging and production systems.
• Proven track record scaling engineering org in startups.
• Hands-on with frontier AI and modern software tooling.
• Close collaboration with Product and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead Clever’s engineering organization and set high technical standards.
• Shape technical direction across core systems and architecture.
• Remain hands-on for critical reviews and production issues when needed.
• Improve delivery flow from problem framing to production.
• Grow talent via recruiting, coaching, and performance management.
• Advance AI-enabled engineering and platform guardrails.
