Job summary

BKF, a multi-service infrastructure consulting firm, seeks a Vice President of Business Development for its Planning and Government Solutions Division. The role leads BD strategy, expands market share on the West Coast, and oversees Regional BD Directors.

Frequent travel and hybrid in-office work near Northern California offices are expected. You will drive revenue growth, manage client relationships, and align BD efforts with corporate objectives, partnering with senior leadership for

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years in business development, marketing leadership, and strategic planning within A/E/C or infrastructure services, preferably in California.
• Located near one of BKF’s Northern California offices.
• Proven success leading teams, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth.
• Deep understanding of the full lifecycle of a project (planning, design, construction, land development).
• Experience with strategic teaming and proposal strategy/negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive BD program annual financial goals (bookings, book-to-burn, weighted pipeline) for the Division.
• Develop and execute business development strategies for planning and government services sectors.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across service lines.
• Build and implement sales/marketing initiatives to drive market growth.
• Drive Pursuit to Win processes from opportunity to contract negotiation.
• Mentor Regional BD Directors and align with Marketing and senior leadership.
• Maintain accurate CRM pipeline and budgets; attend industry events to raise brand visibility.
