Job summary

BKF Engineers, Inc. seeks a seasoned Vice President of Business Development for the Planning and Government Solutions Division to lead the Western Region BD strategy, grow market share, and build a high-performing team.

You will partner with senior leaders to identify strategic opportunities in government, transportation, water, and land development while expanding BKF's presence across California, Oregon, and Washington. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years in business development, marketing leadership, and strategic planning in A/E/C or infrastructure services.
• Willingness to travel regularly in CA, OR, WA to support growth.
• Proven leadership in client relationships, strategic planning, and proposal strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive business development program and establish annual goals (bookings, book-to-burn, weighted pipeline).
• Direct BD strategy for Planning and Government Solutions with initial focus on CA, OR, WA.
• Develop and execute growth strategies across markets, geographies, and client segments.
• Partner with executive leadership to pursue strategic opportunities and cross-sell services.
• Build and mentor the BD team across the region, and ensure CRM tracking of plans and budgets.
• Represent BKF at industry events and client meetings to promote brand and thought leadership.
