Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks a seasoned Vice President of Business Development to steer the Planning and Government Solutions Division's growth. The role drives market expansion, client acquisition, and revenue growth while leading Regional Directors and collaborating with senior leadership across BKF's Northern California offices.

Travel to client sites and industry events is expected. The VP will ensure CRM-based planning, cross‑selling, and alignment with corporate strategy to strengthen BKF’s

Qualifications

• 15+ years in business development, marketing leadership, and strategic planning within A/E/C or infrastructure services (prefer California).
• Located near BKF's Northern California offices.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive revenue growth.
• Experience in strategic selling and proposal strategy/negotiation.
• CRM experience and data-driven development practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead BD program annual goals (bookings, book-to-burn, weighted pipeline) for the Division.
• Develop and execute strategies to expand planning and government services markets.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across service lines and geographies.
• Build and implement sales/marketing initiatives to drive market growth.
• Oversee a team of Regional BD Directors and Managers.
