Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a strategic leader to own the AI risk and governance program at the VP II level. You will shape a multi-year strategy, collaborate across technology, risk, and compliance, and drive governance for AI adoption and controls in a complex financial services environment.

The role requires deep regulatory understanding, senior leadership presence, and the ability to translate technical risk into clear business decisions while partnering with executives to balance innovation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of risk management, AI, model risk, and data governance in a regulated financial institution.
• 5+ years in AI, ML, data governance, or AI risk/compliance.
• Demonstrated experience building multi-year strategies, operating models, or governance programs.
• Experience leading in regulated environments and supporting regulatory reviews.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute multi-year AI risk and governance strategy across functions.
• Lead enterprise AI governance, models, monitoring, model risk management, and control testing.
• Develop enterprise AI governance framework, policies, standards, and risk classifications.
• Advise senior leadership on AI risk, adoption, deployment readiness, and risk tolerance.
• Lead executive AI risk and governance forums and ensure accountability for actions.
• Define enterprise AI risk assessment, due diligence, and documentation requirements.
