Job summary

LPL Financial seeks a Vice President of AI Governance to own the enterprise AI governance strategy and provide authoritative oversight across the AI lifecycle. This leader will establish governance framework, risk standards, and decision rights to enable responsible AI adoption while protecting clients and regulatory standing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology risk, model risk, AI governance, cybersecurity, data risk, compliance, audit, or related control discipline within regulated industries.
• 5+ years of direct experience reviewing, governing, validating, auditing, implementing, or overseeing AI/ML solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise AI Governance Framework with policies, standards, risk taxonomy, and escalation protocols.
• Set strategic direction and operating model for AI governance aligned to regulatory developments.
• Provide independent review and credible challenge of AI/ML use cases across architecture, data, model, and controls.
• Evaluate AI solutions at architecture, data, and control levels to identify material risks and residual exposure.
• Challenge business and technical owners on use-case design, data lineage, model behavior, testing, and oversight.
• Chair or lead enterprise AI governance forums and drive risk-based decisions with clear documentation.
