Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a Vice President of AI Governance to own the enterprise AI governance strategy, establish risk-based oversight, and guide responsible AI adoption across the lifecycle. You will challenge business and tech teams, ensure clear decision rights, and advise executives on remediation and escalation with impact on regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology risk, model risk, AI governance in financial services or regulated industries.
• 5+ years reviewing, governing, validating, auditing, or overseeing AI/ML solutions.
• Experience challenging AI at architecture, model, data, and control levels with clear rationale.
• Proven ability to establish or enhance enterprise governance, risk, or control frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership building capability and driving accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise AI Governance Framework, including policies, standards, risk taxonomy, and lifecycle requirements.
• Set strategic direction and operating model for AI governance aligned with regulatory developments.
• Provide independent review and credible challenge of AI solutions across architecture, data, and controls.
• Chair enterprise AI governance forums and drive risk-based decisions with documented actions.
• Advise executives and governance committees; represent program in regulatory examinations and audits.
