Job summary

LPL Financial in Arlington, VA seeks an SVP, Technology Risk & AI Governance to lead responsible, secure, and scalable AI adoption. You will set vision, policies, guardrails, and oversee risk across model, data, privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance while partnering with senior leadership.

You will build enterprise AI inventories, define metrics, monitor regulation, and advise on balancing innovation with risk.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature the enterprise AI governance strategy, framework, operating model, policies, standards, and decision rights.
• Establish practical guardrails and risk-based approval paths for AI development, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, retirement.
• Oversee AI risk assessments spanning model performance, data quality, privacy, cybersecurity, IP, bias, transparency, explainability, human oversight, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead governance for generative AI, ML, LLMs, agentic AI, and other emerging AI capabilities.
• Maintain AI inventories, use-case classifications, lifecycle controls, and evidence of accountable ownership.
• Define enterprise metrics, KRIs, dashboards, and escalation protocols to show AI risk exposure and control effectiveness.
• Monitor AI regulation and industry standards and translate them into enterprise action.
• Advise business and technology leaders on responsible innovation balancing speed and risk.
