Job summary

JPMorgan Chase’s Digital Design team is hiring a Design Operations Manager, Vice President, to plan and manage day-to-day workflow and processes that support our digital design programs. You will lead delivery for complex projects and partner with design leads, product, technology, and finance to align resources with priorities.

You will scale best practices, manage risks, and promote adoption of AI and automation to improve quality and speed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project/ program management or design operations experience with digital UX teams
• Fluent in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Proficient with delivery/ops tooling (e.g., Atlassian/Jira, Monday.com) to drive workflow transparency
• Excellent communication: synthesize status into clear narratives and dashboards
• Demonstrated ability to build plans, prioritize work, and drive execution across multiple workstreams
• Strong problem-solving: structure ambiguity and translate insights into pragmatic solutions
• Highly organized and proactive; able to coordinate cross-functional teams in fast-paced settings
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
• Adaptable to changing priorities and eager to improve processes
• Familiarity with design and AI-assisted tools (e.g., Figma, GitHub Copilot)
• Experience with design systems is a plus
• Knowledge of current design industry trends and best practices
• Strong facilitation skills (workshops, decisioning)
• Comfort with AI tooling for operational efficiency and documentation

Responsibilities

• Oversee digital product portfolio management including intake, prioritization, resourcing, and capacity planning
• Align problem definition, scope, outcomes, and readiness before work begins
• Lead cross-team dependency management; facilitate sessions and remove blockers
• Maintain portfolio visibility and enable timely tradeoffs with design and cross-functional leaders
• Translate demand into capacity and resourcing plans; ensure deliverables and handoffs are defined
• Guide end-to-end execution with Design Leads, Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Scrum Masters
• Plan design work with teams; ensure clear requirements and rationale
• Track delivery across projects and report milestones, status, decisions, and risks
• Leverage AI tooling to improve rhythms, ceremonies, and reduce rework
• Uphold standards and drive continuous process improvements
• Develop and maintain SOPs, templates, and playbooks to sustain team health
