Job summary

Athene is seeking a VP of Sales, Defined Contribution to drive the private assets and Vitera guaranteed income offerings across an assigned territory. You will work closely with recordkeepers and wealth advisors to expand adoption and hit annual targets.

The role requires extensive DC industry knowledge, an established advisor network, and the ability to coordinate with global wealth teams. Expect significant travel as part of strategy execution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams.
• Strong command of advisor-led and recordkeeper channels, translating home office opportunities to field outcomes.
• Knowledge of defined contribution market and ERISA fundamentals; expertise in private assets or guaranteed income.
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 or Series 7 required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual territory sales target across Apollo and Vitera defined contribution offerings.
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams to drive adoption.
• Develop and execute a territory plan with priority advisors, cadence, and measurable milestones.
• Lead advisor education, field events, and finalist presentations; collaborate with product specialists.
• Coordinate with Global Wealth field counterparts to align coverage and win together.
• Use CRM data, market intelligence, and AI tools to refine targeting and maintain pipeline.
