Athene, a leading retirement solutions provider, seeks a VP of Sales for Defined Contribution to drive private assets and guaranteed income adoption among retirement advisors. You will manage key relationships, own territory targets, and collaborate with product and investment teams to accelerate growth.

The role requires 10+ years in retirement plan sales, strong advisor networks, ERISA knowledge, and FINRA licenses. Expect 70%+ travel and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales or related experience.
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams.
• Knowledge of ERISA fundamentals and private assets or guaranteed income.
• FINRA Series 6/63 or Series 7 required.
• Strong one-on-one and group presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual territory sales target across Apollo and Vitera defined contribution offering.
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams; convert partnerships into local adoption.
• Develop and execute a territory plan with priority advisors and measurable sales outcomes.
• Lead advisor education, field events, and finalist presentations; involve product specialists when needed.
• Collaborate with Apollo’s Global Wealth field counterparts to align coverage and share insights.
• Coordinate with recordkeeper partners on joint meetings and campaigns.
• Use CRM data, market intelligence, and AI tools to refine targeting and maintain pipeline discipline.
