Dentsu seeks a Vice President, Commerce Strategy to partner with senior Commerce leadership and accelerate growth across North America. This role spans Media, Creative, Commerce Operations, Content, Technology, Data, and Client Leadership to craft integrated Commerce solutions for clients.

The VP acts as a strategic consultant, linking business strategy with execution while guiding innovation, capability development, technology evaluation, and commercial growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, commerce, retail media, digital marketing, or related disciplines.
• Experience developing strategic recommendations for senior business leaders.
• Strong understanding of commerce, ecommerce, retail media, customer experience, and marketing.
• Experience working across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders and manage complex initiatives.
• Experience in consulting, agency, commerce technology, or enterprise strategy.
• Familiarity with AI, automation, and emerging commerce technologies.
• Experience supporting large enterprise clients.
• Experience contributing to business development and strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support development of enterprise Commerce strategies and cross-functional initiatives.
• Conduct market analysis, competitive assessments, and strategic evaluations.
• Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, and executive presentations.
• Coordinate strategic initiatives across multiple Commerce workstreams.
• Partner with client teams to develop integrated Commerce strategies.
• Support executive client workshops and strategic planning engagements.
• Develop recommendations linking Commerce investments to outcomes.
• Help clients navigate evolving Commerce capabilities and opportunities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and strategic partners.
• Support development of new Commerce offerings and go-to-market solutions.
• Identify capability gaps with Product, Technology, Activation, and Measurement.
• Contribute to adoption of agentic AI across Commerce workflows.
• Support strategic new business opportunities and pitches.
• Develop strategic narratives, market positioning, and client recommendations.
• Partner with Growth teams on priority pursuits.
• Contribute to thought leadership and industry perspectives.
• Build relationships across disciplines and executives.
