Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is seeking a Volunteer Manager to expand our core volunteer programs and Campus Chapter efforts. You will recruit, train, and cultivate volunteers across construction, events, and offices, building a robust engagement pipeline.

Responsibilities include developing orientations, trainings, and stewardship plans, plus handling administrative tasks and coordinating major events throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Must pass drug test, background check, and driving record check.
• Must have reliable transportation, CA Driver’s License, and automobile liability insurance.
• Must have reliable internet connection.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in volunteer coordination, program management, or community engagement.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, engage, and retain volunteers.
• Experience developing volunteer orientations, trainings, and stewardship initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Volunteer Engagement: Recruit and cultivate volunteers for core programs including ReStore, Events, Site Host and Office.
• Program Development: Create orientations, trainings, and retention/stewardship plans.
• Administrative: Prepare welcome packets, update VolunteerHub, and write monthly pieces.
• Events: Coordinate Annual Volunteer Appreciation and support large events.
