Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is seeking a Program Manager for the Home Preservation department. The role will coordinate applications, verify eligibility, manage budgets, and liaise with funding partners to ensure compliant reporting and successful project delivery.

You will work with construction teams and community partners to meet ambitious goals, maintain client records, and support outreach to low-income households across Los Angeles County.

Qualifications

  • Must pass a drug test, background check, and driving record check.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and a CA Driver’s License with adequate insurance.
  • Must have reliable internet connection.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend meetings or events.
  • Experience processing applications and determining program eligibility based on funding and program requirements.
  • Knowledge of grant, government, or nonprofit program compliance and documentation standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with accurate client records, budgets, and project tracking.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines with funder requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse, low-income households.
  • Ability to collaborate with construction teams, community partners, and funding agencies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and databases/case management systems.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is seeking a qualified candidate to work with our Home Preservation department, which uses several funding sources to meet the home repair needs of low-income Los Angeles residents. The Program Manager works closely with our program participants, construction team, and funding partners to meet our ambitious goals.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Process program applications and qualify eligible households to meet multiple funder requirements and program goals.
  • Adhere to all funder guidelines while maintaining all required documentation and prepare detailed documentation to present to funding partners for approval, billing and reporting
  • Maintain accurate clientele records including contact information, project status updates, project budget, and demographic information
  • Inform target communities of available program services through information sessions. Implement outreach and marketing strategies to identify qualified program participants.
SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, background check, and driving record check
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA Driver’s License, and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insurance
  • Must have a reliable internet connection
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to attend occasional evening and weekend meetings or events.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $26.44 - $31,25
Salary offers are based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, experience, and qualifications. Offers are between the entry to mid-level range.
