Job summary

Retell AI is seeking a Deployments Consultant to turn AI use cases into production-ready voice agents and lead customer deployments from discovery through launch. You will collaborate with operators, customer teams, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver real value.

This hands-on role requires understanding the customer’s business, solving ambiguous problems, and building robust, tested solutions that work in live environments.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers.
• Ability to translate customer needs into practical AI workflows.
• Hands-on problem solving when things break.
• Experience in consulting, solutions engineering, deployment, or similar roles.
• Comfort with APIs, integrations, and software systems.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Interest in AI, LLMs, and voice technology.
• Thrives in fast-moving startup environments.
• Willing to travel for key customer launches.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer deployments from initial discovery through production launch.
• Understand customer workflows, pain points, and business goals.
• Translate requirements into AI workflows and implementation plans.
• Build and configure voice AI agents and automation workflows.
• Integrate Retell with customers' systems, APIs, and processes.
• Troubleshoot issues across integrations, APIs, webhooks, telephony, and deployments.
• Run working sessions, demos, and implementation reviews.
• Collaborate with Sales during discovery and evaluations.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to address customer issues.
• Track progress, identify risks, and keep deployments moving toward launch.
• Help customers test and optimize agents before/after production.
• Identify expansion opportunities across use cases and teams.
• Capture learnings to create repeatable playbooks and best practices.
• Become a subject matter expert on Retell’s platform and voice AI.
