Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking an Assistant Director of Vocational Nursing to lead evening and weekend cohorts, driving academic quality, faculty performance, and clinical partnerships. This full‑time role works closely with the Program Director to ensure program outcomes align with standards.

The position requires California RN licensure, BVNPT‑approved bachelor’s degree, and a track record in nursing education or administration.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in California
• Bachelor’s degree from BVNPT‑approved school
• Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Nurse; at least one (1) year teaching or clinical supervision in a state‑approved nursing program within last five years; or three (3) years in nursing administration or education within last five years
• Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an approved school

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the VN program, with emphasis on evening and weekend cohorts
• Assist in managing faculty schedules, course planning, and instructional resource allocation
• Ensure timely completion of grading, evaluations, and required reporting
• Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate instructional faculty
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to ensure instructional excellence
• Promote active learning strategies and ATI resources
• Monitor student performance and implement intervention strategies to support retention and completion
• Ensure consistency in instructional quality across cohorts
• Provide feedback during weekend clinicals on student progress and learning environment
• Ensure compliance with BVNPT regulations and accreditation standards
• Coordinate clinical placements and maintain relationships with clinical partners
• Manage program data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement
• Maintain clear communication with clinical sites to ensure all student requirements are met
