Job summary

Stanbridge University seeks an Assistant Director, Vocational Nursing (Evenings/Weekends) to lead operations for the VN program, partnering with the Program Director to maintain academic quality, student outcomes, and faculty performance. Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in California.
• Bachelor’s degree from BVNPT-approved school.
• Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Nurse.
• At least one (1) year of teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved nursing program (VN or RN) within the last five (5) years; or three (3) years in nursing administration or education within the last five (5) years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the VN program, with emphasis on evening and weekend cohorts
• Assist in managing faculty schedules, course planning, and instructional resource allocation
• Ensure timely completion of grading, evaluations, and required reporting
• Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate instructional faculty
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to ensure instructional excellence
• Promote active learning strategies and ATI resources
• Monitor student performance and implement intervention strategies to support retention and completion
• Ensure consistency in instructional quality across cohorts
• Provide feedback during weekend clinicals on student progress and learning environment
• Ensure BVNPT compliance and accreditation standards
• Coordinate clinical placements and maintain relationships with clinical partners
• Manage program data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement
• Maintain clear communication with clinical sites to meet student requirements
