Job summary

Stanbridge University seeks an Assistant Director for Vocational Nursing to lead evening and weekend VN cohorts, aligning with the Program Director on academic quality and outcomes. This full-time, on-site role emphasizes faculty performance, curriculum delivery, clinical partnerships, and student success across non-traditional schedules.

The position requires RN licensure in California, BVNPT-approved education, and prior nursing leadership experience.

Qualifications

• RN license in California is required.
• Bachelor’s degree from BVNPT-approved school.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience.
• At least 1 year of teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved nursing program within the last 5 years.
• 3 years in nursing administration or education within the last 5 years.
• Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an approved school.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the VN program, with emphasis on evening and weekend cohorts.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate instructional faculty; provide coaching on performance.
• Monitor student performance and intervene to support retention and completion; ensure consistency across cohorts.
• Ensure BVNPT compliance and accreditation standards; coordinate clinical placements and partnerships.
• Manage program data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement; communicate with clinical sites to meet student requirements.
