Job summary

Kansas Department of Health and Environment seeks a detail‑oriented Vital Statistics Customer Service Department Manager to lead daily operations, oversee high‑volume requests, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will train staff, manage performance reviews, and serve as the main contact for escalations while coordinating with internal teams to streamline processes.

The role includes department accounting oversight, monthly revenue and workload reporting, and maintaining the vital statistics

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience in customer service management or public service preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to train staff and manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Customer Service staff and evaluate performance.
• Provide training on walk‑in assistance and POS duties.
• Respond to inquiries and ensure office procedures compliance.
• Prepare weekly status reports and assist budgeting.
• Maintain office systems and coordinate with IT for electronic records.
