Job summary

MMF Vision Center is seeking a Patient Service Representative 2 to deliver exceptional administrative support under supervision. You will be the first point of contact for patients, families, and providers, handling registration, scheduling, billing inquiries, and MyChart assistance while ensuring authorizations are obtained before visits.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with experience in healthcare settings and Epic EHR preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year healthcare experience required (Vision, Dental and Veterinary included).
• At least 1 year customer service experience required, preferably within a healthcare environment.
• Experience working with patients/providers, Epic EHR preferred.
• Previous experience with busy phone lines strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and schedule appointments, handle billing inquiries, and MyChart assistance.
• Ensure required authorizations are secured before appointments.
• Assist with check-in and checkout procedures and collect payments.
• Update patient demographics and coordinate with clinical teams to resolve issues.
• Help orient new staff and support other departments to enhance patient experience.
