Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician in Tulsa, OK to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prepping, preliminary testing and measurements. Training will be provided, and some weekend/evening shifts are required.

You will learn to operate pretest equipment, assist with screenings and contact lens training, while ensuring a smooth patient flow and comfort throughout visits. Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma, strong people skills, and a detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient demeanor essential for comfort during screening.
• Detail oriented with ability to work closely with Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about optics, industry, products and services.
• Team player who delivers the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with all office procedures.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
