Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing, and measurements. No optical experience?

Training will be provided to help you learn about the industry and deliver a best-in-class patient experience. Some weekend and evening shifts are required to support clinic hours. You will consult with patients, document medical history, assist with pretests, and help ensure a smooth patient flow from check-in to examination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with basic math ability.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the optical industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient care.
