Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing and measurements, and operating pretest equipment.

Training will be provided, and the role may involve some weekend and evening shifts to ensure a smooth patient flow. In this position you will document medical history, assist with patient comfort, and collaborate with the Doctor(s) and staff to deliver a best-in-class vision care experience to patients in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Attention to detail and ability to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, accurately document conditions and medical history for the Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
