MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing, and documenting medical history. Training will be provided to learn pretest equipment and eye care procedures.

The role involves coordinating patient flow, helping ensure comfort during exams, and collaborating with the doctor and team to deliver a best-in-class vision care experience. Some weekend/evening shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong patient communication and empathy.
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow exam protocols.
• Willingness to learn ophthalmic terminology and procedures.
• Team player with patient-first mindset.

Responsabilités

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures before/during exams.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
