Job summary

MyEyeDr is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing and measurements. Training will be provided to learn pretest procedures and vision screenings.

You will help maintain a smooth patient flow, ensure comfort during screening, and collaborate with the doctor and team to deliver high-quality vision care. Some weekend and evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about eye care industry, products and services.
• Previous healthcare/optical background preferred but not required. Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history for the exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures they will see during appointment.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
