Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing and measurements, and ensuring a smooth patient flow. Training will be provided, and some weekend/evening shifts are required to meet patient needs.

As part of a collaborative team, you will learn to operate pretest equipment and assist during exams, contributing to a best-in-class patient experience and vision care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; basic math ability.
• Be personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for the Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during their visit.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings prior to seeing the doctor.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
