Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by conducting preliminary testing and measurements, ensuring a smooth patient flow and prepping for exams. No optical experience required as comprehensive training will be provided.

Responsibilities include patient documentation, basic testing, and collaboration with the team to deliver a high-quality vision care experience. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to understand basic math and document medical history.
• Patient-focused with comfort in screening environments.
• Willingness to learn optical industry basics; training provided.
• Prior healthcare/optical background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff throughout appointment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings prior to doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for seamless patient experience.
