Job summary

MyEyeDr. in Colorado is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, conducting preliminary testing, and recording medical history. Training and tools are provided, and no optical experience is required to start.

You'll help maintain a smooth patient flow, ensure comfort, and learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings. Weekend and some evenings may be required as we deliver best-in-class vision care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with ability to understand basic math.
• Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product and services.
• Collaborative team player providing the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and complaints, and chart medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during appointments.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctor(s) and team for a seamless patient experience.
