Job summary

Advanced Family Eye Care, part of TeamVision within EssilorLuxottica, is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator to manage daily administrative tasks for doctors, visitors, and patients. You will help coordinate appointments, verify eligibility, handle charges, and support a top-tier patient experience.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years in a healthcare office setting, excellent communication, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

2+ years of office experience in a healthcare setting.
Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
Strong communicator and listener.
Problem solving ability.
Familiarity with in-store technology, such as POS, patient record systems, and other software applications.
Basic knowledge of vision insurance plans/coverage and office operations.

Responsibilities

Greets patients without delay.
Promptly answers the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by phone.
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying doctor/provider of patient’s arrival and reminders of service delays.
Records and updates financial information, collects patient charges, and files third-party claims.
Maintains business office inventory and equipment and coordinates with the Practice Manager to order supplies.
Protects patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to policies and attendance requirements.
Works weekends and evenings as needed by location.
