Job summary

AEG Vision in Bend, Oregon seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, and accurately dispense eyewear while maintaining high service standards.

The role requires interpreting prescriptions, communicating clearly with patients, and collaborating with technicians and doctors to deliver accurate orders and satisfactory outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories to fit prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Interpret prescriptions written by Optometrist and Ophthalmologist and enter into EHR/ALE system.
• Dispense glasses, ensure proper fit, and adjust as needed for comfort and acuity.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranty coverage, and insurance benefits.
• Maintain instrument readiness and cleanliness of the practice and displays.
